• Assessed 3 flooring crews for one week and suggested equipment upgrades to the Project Manager which led to higher productivity and completion of flooring work 2 days earlier than planned.

• Responsible for tracking RFIs, change orders & ensuring that crews are aware of the design changes in their work which helped in recognizing incorrect kitchen window units saving on rework costs. 

• Assisted Project Superintendent in reviewing & submitting approvals & document compilation to facilitate the completion of requirements for the final Certificate of Occupancy (CO) of the project.

• Performed Concrete Quantity Takeoff by Bluebeam for the footings of the Port renovation project and organized weekly site meetings to discuss the Change orders, progress, and shortcomings.

• Solicited and analyzed bids from RMC plants and suggested the plant which required the least lead time and had bigger batch sizes resulting in expediated concreting of the footings.

• Administrated the subcontractors’ progress by taking progress photos alongside the Project manager and carried out site safety walks to ensure PPE Compliance and erosion control measures.

 

Construction Intern - Desai Constructions

• Assisted Project Manager is site surveys, quantity estimations, and collaborated with the project owner resulting in 1-week earlier mobilization of equipment, site clearance, and logistics.

• Facilitated document management to obtain the necessary Project permits from the governing bodies and coordinated with the subcontractors for effective document distribution.

• Communicated with material suppliers and analyzed their proposals for concrete, steel and opted for a newer supplier which helped the contractor save $6000 in the material costs.
